COP27: Many ‘firsts’ for food systems
The Food Systems Pavilion had an ambition to put food on the table with the first ever Food Systems Pavilion at a Climate COP.
We are therefore delighted that we spread our message of building sustainable, resilient and equitable food systems far and wide: driving #ActionOnFood from COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh to the world.
See GreenBiz’s article: How COP27 became the food systems COP
COP27 saw many firsts for food systems, including:
- The first ever Food Systems Pavilion and at least four other food-related
Pavilions - The first ever Agriculture Day hosted by the COP Presidency
- Food and agriculture featuring prominently in the final COP27 cover text
During the Food Systems Pavilion’s closing session, experts from across the food sector – many of whom participated in our sessions throughout COP – reflected on the last two weeks and discussed their ambitions for food systems beyond COP27. Catch up with the recording here.
Many thanks are in order for all those who helped to make the first ever Food Systems Pavilion at COP a reality!
Join us on this journey and see what we’ve got cooking to deliver #ActionOnFood.
