A virtual field visit to farming and fishing communities in Malawi

16:3018:00

There are few populations who will be more impacted by climate change, and bear so little responsibility for it, than small-scale producers. It is critically important that COP27 participants understand how climate change is a lived reality for these populations; they already represent the vast majority of the most poor and food insecure populations in the world, and their livelihoods are only getting more precarious.

We intend to showcase this reality through a “virtual field visit” with small-scale producers in Malawi – one of the most climate stressed countries in Africa; it will include a mix of videos, recordings, and live (virtual) Q&A with producers, from where they live and work.
